Woodworking Masters Woodchip Studio

Woodworking is the activity or skill of making items from wood and includes cabinet making (Cabinetry and Furniture), wood carving, joinery, carpentry, and woodturning, or at least that is how the definition is presented in Wikipedia. At the WoodChip Studio, we believe that it is much more than that. We believe that true woodworking is an art form. It is not just the shaping of wood, the true value of woodworking lies in the transformation of the wood from is raw form, through the vision of the wood crafter, into a desirable item which somebody would be proud to display in their home or office.

In this section of the WoodChip Studio, we aim to honor the craftsman which have opened their hearts and is willing to share their woodworking knowledge with us. These woodworking masters together have an astonishing knowledge base from whom we all can learn.

First on our list is Ishitani from Ishitani Furniture

  • Ishitani is a Japanese woodworker which does not say much, watching him doing his woodworking though is mesmerizing. His attention to detail with the resultant quality of his work is phenomenal. We have created a dedicated page on Ishitani’s work which you can visit by clicking here – Natsuki Ishitani
